Walgreens’ CEO sees pay boosted 30%
New York City The CEO of Walgreen Co. made nearly 30% more in fiscal 2010 because of a boost in his performance-related bonus as the chain improved profits and revenue, the Associated Press reported. Gregory Wasson's total compensation was valued at $6.1 million in fiscal 2010, which ended in August, up from $4.7 million the year before.
The bulk of the increase came as his performance-related bonus was doubled to $1.7 million from $800,000. is 2010 compensation also included stock options and restricted stock valued at $3.2 million on the day they were granted, according to the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission made Tuesday.
