Walgreen Unit Agrees to Joint Venture

Deerfield, Ill. Walgreen Co. said Friday that its Walgreens-OptionCare subsidiary has agreed to establish a joint venture with MedNow Inc., a medical equipment services company.

Financial terms were not disclosed of the joint venture, which will operate under the name MedNow, A Walgreens Affiliate.

MedNow provides home infusion, respiratory care and medical supplies to patients in facilities in Idaho and Oregon.
