Walgreen Opens 5,000th Store

Deerfield, Ill., Walgreen Co. celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its 5,000th store, in Richmond, Va. With a record 475 stores planned to open this fiscal year, the company has set a goal of 7,000 units by 2010.
