Waldenbooks Closes Store in Cincinnati

Cincinnati The Waldenbooks store at Kenwood Towne Centre in Cincinnati has closed, following the shuttering of sister locations downtown and in Springdale, Ohio.

Parent company Borders Group Inc. sent an e-mail to customers over the weekend to alert them of the closing. Borders is opening a store featuring its newest format at the neighboring Kenwood Towne Place.

The new, two-story Borders will include a digital center where shoppers can burn CDs or download books, interactive kiosks and 32-in. LCD screens in the food and travel sections.
