Wal-Mart to test online grocery market?
BENTONVILLE, Ark. Rumors are swirling about retail giant Wal-Mart for a possible online grocery venture.
According to reports in the Financial Times, Wal-Mart is testing online grocery sales with the expansion of a home delivery service at its warehouse club chain Sam’s Club.
Sam’s Club said it currently had between 750 and 1,000 items online, but that the online range was expanding. The retailer delivers by parcel service, following the model adopted by Amazon.
Wal-Mart executives have not yet released a statement in response to the claims.
