Wal-Mart reduces costs on eyewear
Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores on Thursday announced it has sharply reduced prices for both contact lenses and children's eyewear as part of an effort to help customers cut down on healthcare costs.
Through a partnership with 1-800 Contacts, the world's largest retailer of contact lenses, the chain said it can save shoppers as much as 12% to 50% on a yearly supply of lenses. Additionally, Wal-Mart has lowered its prices on glasses and frames for children and teens.
