Wal-Mart premieres personal movie maker

BENTONVILLE, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores and Sequoia Media Group have announced the launch of myMovieMaker, a new product available at all Wal-Mart stores that instantly transforms a customer's digital photos into personalized DVD movies.

According to the companies, myMovieMaker allows customers, for the first time, to create professional personalized DVD movies using a photo center touch screen kiosk in a store. Powered by the "aVinci Experience," developed by Sequoia Media Group, the product line utilizes Hollywood-style effects and themed storyboards to build an exciting movie production. Over 50 movie themes are available for significant life events such as weddings, vacations, graduations, life tributes, holidays, sports and many others.

myMovieMaker DVD productions start at $12.86 and can contain up to 40 personal photos. A personalized DVD case, label, and thumbnail insert are also included with each DVD production. Beginning today, myMovieMaker will be available in all 3,500 Wal-Mart Stores on over 5,600 in-store kiosks located in the one-hour labs.
