Wal-Mart offers $100 gift card with BlackBerry purchase

Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores said Wednesday it will offer a $100 gift card with each purchase of a BlackBerry mobile phone and two-year contract.

The one-week offer beginning Saturday includes its full assortment of BlackBerry devices from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Wal-Mart Stores has been aggressively cutting prices and offering deals across a variety of its categories, from books to toys and other products to lure shoppers in this holiday season.

The offer will also be available online at Walmart.com, with a gift card for the online site.

About 3,200 Walmart stores in the United States sell and activate post-paid cellular service. Wal-Mart operates 8,159 stores globally.
