Wal-Mart Invests $85 Million in Five New Brazilian Stores
Sao Paulo, Brazil, Wal-Mart, Brazil’s third-largest supermarketer, invested a total of R$ 153 million (U.S. $85.62 million) to open five locations throughout Brazil. The stores opened last week.
Among the five new stores is the chain’s 3,000th supercenter outside the United States, in the Greater Sao Paulo area.
Wal-Mart now runs 308 stores in Brazil.
