Wal-Mart Canada to open more supercenters
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario Wal-Mart Canada Corp., a subdivision of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., confirmed on Wednesday that it will be opening in four towns in the Ontario area.
Wal-Mart Canada confirmed the new locations are in Bracebridge, Brockville, Bolton and Chatham. The affirmation comes alongside the opening of the company’s first five supercenters in Alberta. The company said that these nine supercenters represent a combined investment of approximately $200 million and have generated thousands of construction and in-store jobs.
In November 2006, the discount giant opened its first three Canadian supercenters, all of which were located in Ontario.
