Wal-Mart Canada Expands

Mississauga, Ontario, Wal-Mart Canada continues its expansion with the opening of nine additional Supercenters, for a total of 17 in Canada.

Ranging in size from 101,000 sq. ft. to 205,000 sq. ft., the new stores have approximately 30% more sales floor than traditional Canadian Wal-Mart discount stores. The locations offer a wide range of services and complementary in-store businesses, including McDonald's restaurants, Tim Hortons cafes and hair styling.

Wal-Mart Canada will continue the expansion of its supercenter format with a total of 28 Supercenters planned across Canada by early 2008.
