Wal-Mart apologizes for gift card glitch

BENTONVILLE, Ark. Wal-Mart apoligized in a statement issued last week for the problems some of its customers were experiencing with their gift cards.

The company confirmed that due to processing errors with its third-party verifier's systems, some cards were being rejected at the register. According to Wal-Mart, the errors affected a small percentage of gift card transactions and the issue has been resolved.
