Von Maur heads to Oklahoma

7/25/2014

High-end department store Von Maur plans to open its 30th location on October 18 in Oklahoma City. The new location will be the company’s first in the state and will be part of the city’s Quail Springs Mall.

The new store will open in a space that used to house a Sears, and will undergo a complete facelift. Von Maur will create a brick façade on the exterior and sell brands like Brooks Brothers, Hugo Boss and Coach.

“We are thrilled to introduce our brand to this thriving metropolitan community," company President Jim von Maur said. "Whether providing the latest styles or an unmatched shopping experience, satisfaction will always remain a top priority for us, and we look forward to ensuring this experience each and every time our customers step into our store."

The store is slated to have 175 employees and will also contain a sever weather shelter that has a ventilation system, backup battery, and can house 430 people in the 2,200-sq.-ft. space.
