Virtual Piggy banks on former PayPal exec for mobile development
LOS ANGELES — Virtual Piggy, an online service that allows parents to monitor their children's online shopping behavior, has appointed Iain Herd as global mobile product director.
With over thirteen years experience in product management, and seven years leading mobile initiatives at major corporations, Iain will be responsible for directing and managing Virtual Piggy’s Mobile First initiative, reporting directly to CEO and founder, Dr. Jo Webber.
Prior to joining Virtual Piggy, Herd, an expert in mobile technology, held the role of global head of mobile partnerships and product at PayPal. During his tenure at the company he launched a number of key mobile services including the PayPal Wallet app for Windows Phone in addition to developing point of sales solutions and carrier billing and device partnerships, establishing PayPal as a key player in the mobile industry.
