Virtual Piggy to accessorize Claire’s e-commerce site
LOS ANGELES — Virtual Piggy has integrated its youth-friendly payment system with Claire’s Stores’ e-commerce website at www.claires.com.
The e-commerce solution provider enables children to manage and spend money within parental controls. It serves as a family wallet that is available online or via mobile, and is free to use. And now children who use Virtual Piggy will be able to shop at the jewelry and accessories retailer, which has more than 1,500 stores in approximately 90% of all major U.S. shopping malls and in 35 countries outside of the U.S.
“We are so excited to partner with Virtual Piggy to offer their payment technology on our site,” said Dina Keenan, CMO at Claire’s Stores, Inc. “Our Claire’s girl is a bit younger so Virtual Piggy will help educate her about shopping and spending responsibly as she continues to gain independence and explore new ways to express her individual style.”
“Claire’s is a massively popular brand among teens and tweens and a valuable addition to our merchant portfolio,” said Dr. Jo Webber, Virtual Piggy founder and CEO. “We are thrilled to announce we have integrated our service into their ecommerce operations and can allow Claire’s consumers to make safe and controlled online purchases while learning financial management at an early age.”
