VF Corp. elects Bergh to board
GREENSBORO, N.C. VF Corp. has elected Charles V. (Chip) Bergh to serve as a director on its board, effective immediately. Bergh is currently group president of global personal care for Procter & Gamble.
Bergh was appointed to his current role at P&G in 2007 and has responsibility for the company's $15 billion global personal care business, which includes Gillette Blades & Razors, Braun and P&G's Personal Beauty Care portfolio. In 2005, Bergh was selected to lead the company's $5 billion blades and razors business, following the acquisition of Gillette. From 2000 to 2005, he led P&G's business in Southeast Asia as president of ASEAN/Australasia/India. Bergh is also a member of the executive committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Greater Boston United Way.
