Value furniture retailer expanding into new market
Bob's Discount Furniture is heading West.
The Connecticut-based furniture retailer announced plans to open six stores in the Los Angeles area. Bob's will cut the ribbon on February 15, 2018 at its new locations in Baldwin Park, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles (Mid-Town), Long Beach, West Hills and Valencia. The stores will be Bob's first on the West Coast.
In addition to the six Los Angeles-area stores, Bob's has three other locations set to open on the same day in Pennsylvania and Virginia. The nine store openings will take Bob's total to 98 stores nationwide.
Bob's is known for its value prices and fun atmosphere. Stores feature cafés with complimentary coffee and sweets.
"Our growth into the Los Angeles market marks an exciting new chapter for Bob's," said Bob Kaufman, co-founder and president emeritus of Bob's Discount Furniture.
Bob's operates 89 furniture stores in 15 states across the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions. The Manchester, Conn.-based company ranks as the 12th-largest U.S. furniture chain.
