Urban Outfitters looks to extend brand with enhanced mobile marketing
New York City Urban Outfitters has selected Acuity Mobile as its mobile marketing provider to extend its shopping experience into the m-commerce world. Acuity will manage Urban Outfitters' mobile marketing presence, including text messaging and mobile Web.
“Working with Acuity Mobile will allow us to increase our marketing efforts with a strong mobile presence and connect our online and in-store experiences," said Dmitri Siegel, managing director of Urban Outfitters Direct. "By providing this customer experience, we hope to communicate with our customers in a targeted and relevant way and engage them in a new and shopping program right from their mobile device."
Acuity Mobile will enable Urban Outfitters' mobile site and connect mobile and online consumer patterns to improve the user experience. A complete m-commerce suite is also provided to streamline the shopping process.
Prior to selecting Acuity Mobile, Urban Outfitters' mobile marketing efforts primarily focused on text messaging. Acuity Mobile said it is providing the chain with a “next-generation” platform that can consolidate and manage all of the operations into a single source that could be easily managed at the national, regional and local levels, and allow Urban Outfitters to leverage consumer data to deliver the right message, to the right consumer, at the right time.
