Urban Outfitters 3Q Sales Up 23%

Philadelphia, Urban Outfitters said Tuesday third-quarter sales rose 23% on strong sales in its Anthropologie and Free People units.

Total third-quarter sales rose to $379.3 million from $308.4 million in the year-ago period. Same-store sales rose 8%.

Sales at Anthropologie stores open at least a year rose 17%, while same-store sales in its Free People stores gained 16%.
