7/25/2012

SAN DIEGO — UPS has named Tim Davis president of The UPS Store franchise network.

Davis has served as VP operations for The UPS Store network since 2009 after joining the company in 2002 as VP technology. During this time, he also held the position of VP, general manager of iShip Inc., a UPS subsidiary. He has been responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of new technologies to better meet the needs of customers; the introduction of a new strategy to help grow print services for franchisees, and programs designed to drive operational excellence within The UPS Store network.

“Since joining the company 10 years ago, Tim has demonstrated his ability to help The UPS Store network meet its operational objectives and grow the business by better serving our customers and franchisees,” said Myron Gray, UPS’s president of U.S. operations. “I have every confidence that he can lead our franchise owners to even greater levels of growth.”

A native of Little Rock, Ark., Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Citadel as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa. Prior to joining The UPS Store franchise network, he held a variety of leadership positions for ConnectShip Inc. (formerly TanData Corporation), including VP operations and sales. Davis is a former captain in the United States Marine Corps and a Gulf War Veteran.
