Two Targets to close

11/15/2010

Target stores in Bonita Springs, Fla., and Waterford, Mich., are slated to close after the first of the year, the company announced recently. The store in Bonita Springs, a town on the west coast of Florida between Naples and Fort Myers, opened in 1998. Target said the decision to close the location was made after careful consideration of the unit’s long-term financial performance. The company said the same thing about the location in the Detroit suburb of Waterford that opened in 1987. Both stores will close on Jan. 29, 2011 leaving target with a fiscal year end total of 1,750 stores.
