Tween Brands posts Q1 loss

New Albany, Ohio Tween Brands said Wednesday it lost $1.4 million in the first quarter as sales dropped amid the recession. The loss was less than had been expected.

Revenue fell 18% to $205.2 million, falling short of a $221 million prediction from analysts.

Same-store sales fell 23%.
