TWE names former BBBY exec as COO

ALBANY , N.Y. Trans World Entertainment announced that it has hired former Bed Bath and Beyond executive Mike Honeyman as its president and COO.

Most recently, Honeyman served as president and COO of  Bernie's TV and Appliances from 2006 to 2010.  Previously, he spent nine years at Bed Bath and Beyond in various positions, including COO of Christmas Tree Shops from 2003 to 2006.

"Mike will play a significant role in driving our operating results and increasing shareholder value," stated Robert Higgins, chairman and CEO. "His retail expertise will make him an outstanding addition to our management team."
