Minneapolis, Supervalu Inc. has named David Pylipow senior VP of human resources. Pylipow was formerly senior VP of human resources for Supervalu’s Save-A-Lot division. He succeeds Ron Tortelli, who will retire at the end of this year.

• Nash Finch Co. made three VP appointments today. Salvatore Baio, formerly of Fortuna Food Brokers, joins Nash Finch as VP of perishable procurement, merchandising and marketing. Robert J. Dernbach was promoted to VP of non-perishable merchandising from senior director of merchandising. And Terry J. Littrell, formerly a division manager for Nash Finch, will become VP of the Southeast region. • Ann Taylor named Dale Hilpert to its board of directors. He currently serves as chairman, CEO and president of Footstar Inc.
