Best Buy has taken the lead in the race to drive the price of Blu-ray DVD players below the $200 mark.
After Sony debuted its new player in August for $299, Best Buy lowered the price of its in-house Insignia player to $249 (pictured). That price also beats the $278 Magnavox player that Walmart has been selling since July.
Analysts have stated that they expect prices of the Blu-ray players to sink below $200 in time for, or on, Black Friday.
