TravelCenters of America completes $68 million acquisition of 31 c-stores
Westlake, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America said it has completed its acquisition of 31 convenience stores/gas stations in Kentucky and Tennessee for $67.9 million. The deal was first announced on Nov. 14.
The Minit Mart stores, acquired from a privately owned seller, will continue to operate on under their proprietary banner. According to a statement by TravelCenters of America president and CEO Thomas O’Brien at the time of purchase, the deal supports the company’s objective to operate and expand “its nationwide network of large, full service travel centers along the U.S. Interstate Highway System that serve the U.S. trucking industry.”
