Trans World to shutter California DC

Trans World Entertainment Corp. said Wednesday it will close its Carson, Calif., distribution center as part of an ongoing program to streamline its operations.

The company said the operations at the Carson facility will be phased out over the next two months and affects 138 employees. Trans World will service its stores from its distribution center located in Albany, N.Y.

Trans World currently operates retail stores in the United States, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, primarily under the names f.y.e. for your entertainment and Suncoast.
