Tractor Supply sees Q2 profit, sales jump

Brentwood , Tenn. Tractor Supply Co. said Wednesday that net income for the second quarter was $76.5 million, compared with $54.8 million in the year-ago period.

Net sales for the second quarter increased 12.6% to $1.07 billion, from $946.5 million in the prior year's second quarter.

Same-store sales increased 6.1% compared with a 2.7% decrease in the prior-year period.
