TPN’s Bentonville office eyes greater growth

The TPN division of global marketing and corporate communications giant Omnicon has worked with Walmart and its supplier community for more than 10 years and now that it has a physical presence in Northwest Arkansas the retail marketing agency is ready for some serious growth.


TPN, which stand for The Promotion Network, is part of Omnicon’s Diversified Agency Services division. TPN recently open an office in Bentonville and tapped John Meyer to lead the organization which is part of TPN’s 300 person organization with nine offices nationwide.


“We’ve been working with Walmart and its suppliers for more than 10 years and we think there is a lot more growth for us to work with existing clients and develop new business,” said Meyer, TPN’s managing director. “It is important to have a presence here and when you don’t you are conspicuously absent.”


Meyer is no stranger to Bentonville and Walmart’s supplier community. A 12-year resident of the Bentonville area, Meyer specializes in Walmart business strategy and retail activation, and in understanding the barriers and drivers that shoppers’ experience.

Before coming to TPN, Meyer was senior vice president of iIntegrated marketing at AMG, the marketing division of Acosta Sales & Marketing. There, he led the Bentonville office servicing clients such as Starbucks, Georgia Pacific, Heinz, and Pinnacle Foods. Prior to AMG, Meyer was managing director of the Bentonville office at Omnicom agency, TracyLocke.

"I look forward to working with the talented TPN team to build a stronger presence in Bentonville, and applying TPN's dynamic retail strategies with Walmart and CPG clients."
