Single Touch Systems, a technology-based mobile media solutions provider, has named Adam Meshekow as head of national retail sales.
Meshekow will be responsible for the company's direct sales and marketing efforts and will work with management to help architect plans for future client engagement and product development and deployment.
Prior to joining Single Touch, Meshekow was mobile brand marketing manager for Toys "R" Us, where he led and executed new marketing strategies for the emerging mobile channel. Working with multiple stakeholders, Meshekow executed numerous campaigns, including building an opt-in SMS database, location-based mobile media placement, mobile Web, social media and paid search. During his tenure at Toys "R" Us, he was responsible for driving more than $100 million in sales across all mobile platforms through mobile coupons, rewards and sweepstakes making both Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us leading retailers in the mobile space. Prior to joining Toys "R" Us, he was a mobile marketing director at Seqrets, LLC, where he managed mobile marketing operations from ideation to launch. He has a bachelor of science in business management from Roger Williams University Gabelli School of Business.
"This is such an exciting time in the expansion and strategic development of Single Touch's sales and marketing efforts," said Single Touch CEO James Orsini. "Adam is a proven and respected veteran in the very highly specialized industry that we operate in and will be able to speak to clients from a unique 'been there done that' perspective. As more marketers begin to shift budget dollars from traditional media to mobile, Adam will help justify the optimal use case in mobile for those dollars to maximize their marketing ROI."
In conjunction with Meshekow’s appointment, the company has also recruited veteran advertising and media sales executive Peter Smith. Smith has more than 25 years of sales and business development experience with blue-chip marketers such as American Express, Chase and Mercedes-Benz. Previously he served as VP and GM at Titan 360, the largest airport, transit and out-of-home advertising company in the United States.
"I look forward to working alongside both the mobile savvy Adam brings, coupled with the media depth and understanding that Peter brings as we begin to build out our direct sales effort to complement our successful channel partnership with AT&T," added Orsini.
