Toys 'R' Us names new coo
WAYNE, N.J. Toys 'R' Us today announced that, effective today, Claire Babrowski will assume the newly created role of evp, coo for Toys 'R' Us.
In her new role, Babrowski will provide leadership for the company’s worldwide logistics and information technology functions. She will also oversee all of the company’s global franchise operations and will have responsibility for the growth of the company’s owned operations and equity positions in the Pacific arena. Babrowski will serve as a member of the company’s executive committee and will report to Jerry Storch, chairman and ceo of Toys 'R' Us.
Babrowski, most recently served as acting ceo, president and coo of RadioShack. Prior to joining RadioShack, Babrowski had a 30-year career at McDonald’s where she began as a part-time employee and eventually became senior evp and chief restaurant operations officer with responsibility for its worldwide operations.
