Town Shoes implements Opterus Store Ops-Center

7/28/2009

Toronto Store management solution provider Opterus said Tuesday that Canadian footwear retailer Town Shoes has implemented Opterus’ Store Ops-Center following the software’s successful deployment at The Shoe Co., a subsidiary of Town Shoes.

The Shoe Co. has documented improvement in operational productivity of more than 20% since they began using the solution, according to Opterus.

Once Town Shoes has successfully implemented and deployed Store Ops-Center, Opterus will be fully deployed to both brands’ 110+ store locations.

“The brands operate separately with very little overlap in head office management, but Opterus allows us to independently and seamlessly manage both brands from the same instance of Store Ops-Center,” said Peter Gerhardt, CFO, Town Shoes.

Opterus provides retailers with tools to improve retail operational efficiency through enhanced store communications and compliance monitoring of corporate objectives. Opterus has replaced Town Shoes’ use of e-mail for store communications, which had created numerous challenges in store-level accountability, consistency and compliance with corporate objectives.
