Tops Markets To Exit Central, Eastern N.Y.

Williamsville, N.Y., Tops Markets will exit Central and Eastern New York with the elimination of 31 of its 152 locations, the grocer said yesterday. The locations include six stores that the Ahold USA unit agreed to sell to Price Chopper for an undisclosed sum.

The other 25 stores Tops plans to unload will remain open until the grocer finds buyers for them.
