Top names in office essentials zero in on small businesses

12/12/2012

SAN FRANCISCO — Office Depot, FedEx Office and Go Daddy are anxious to tap into the small office and home office businesses market, which has been enjoying rapid growth and change. To that end, the three have formed a partnership with Planet Soho, a provider of user-friendly online management tools and services for the SOHO market.

The partnership is good news for Planet Soho, which will be able to increase the services it offers to its members, a total of more than 1 million SOHOs. To reflect the expansion of its partnerships, membership and mission, Planet Soho recently changed its name from SohoOS.

In joining forces with Office Depot, FedEx Office and Go Daddy, Planet Soho will be able to provide discounts and integrated services to SOHOs that are typically enjoyed almost exclusively for Fortune 500 businesses beginning January 2013.

The partnership is also good news for Office Depot, FedEx Office and Go Daddy, which will all be able to bring large brands and services to a much-desired yet difficult-to-reach market segment.

“Planet Soho has created an ecosystem of over one million ‘SOHOs’ that we will reach through this important relationship,” said George Hill, SVP, copy & print depot and managed print services at Office Depot. “As these small businesses are the engine of our economy, we are thrilled to provide special programs and meaningful discounts from Office Depot, to help them grow and thrive.”
