Top exec at Office Depot to leave

11/21/2016

The president of Office Depot’s North American operations is stepping down.

Marc Crosby is leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities,” according to the Sun Sentinel, which cited a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. No date was given for his departure.

Cosby, a 30-year retail veteran, was appointed to his position in the summer of 2014. He came to the company with 30 years of retail experience, having most recently served as president, pharmacy at CVS Caremark Corp.

Also leaving the chain is CEO Roland Smith, who in August announced he would retire once a successor is named. The announcement included the news that CEO and president positions would be consolidated once Smith turns the reins over to the new chief.
