Top eBay strategist named BrandShop CEO
E-commerce firm BrandShop announced that Reuben Hendell has been named chief executive officer of the company. Hendell will also serve on BrandShop's board of directors.
BrandShop provides digital commerce services for such brands as ArmorAll, Casio, Cuisinart, Hershey's, Nicorette, Ping, Samuel Adams and Waterpik.
Hendell joins BrandShop from eBay Enterprise, an e-commerce technology, multichannel retailing and digital marketing company where he served as chief strategy officer. While at eBay Enterprise, he also led their Global Agency Services division, where he focused on creating measurable value from the interactions between customers, brands and content.
"Consumers are in a state where brand engagement and transaction are inseparable in the world's new, 'always shopping' hours of operation. BrandShop provides a unique way for leading brands to successfully engage with their most loyal consumers - from initial search to shopping to package receipt – all within a branded digital commerce experience," Hendell said. "I'm excited to be joining a company focused on helping clients build and scale their online retail presence with the best possible shopping experiences for their brand enthusiasts."
Prior to eBay, Hendell served as CEO of MRM Worldwide, one of the world's top five digital marketing agencies, where he led the agency's transformation by successfully integrating multiple specialist agencies into a single global digital and direct marketing powerhouse with more than 60 offices in 40 countries. Hendell was also an executive vice president at Digitas for 10 years, where he was a key contributor to the company's growth.
