Top-spending teens now have a Top 10 list of shopping centers in which they wield their influence, and their spending power. According to predictive-analytics firm Asterop, San Francisco, the following 10 centers made the grade in terms of exposure to the highest-spending U.S. teens:
Westfield Hawthorn, Vernon Hills, Ill.;
Saddle Rock Village, Aurora, Colo.;
The Oaks, Thousand Oaks, Calif.;
Roanoke Crossing, Roanoke, Texas;
Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton, Calif.;
Huntington Square Mall, East North-port, N.Y.;
Watchung Square, Watchung, N.J.;
Dulles Town Center, Sterling, Va.;
Tomball Town Center, Tomball, Texas; and
The Highlands, Brewster, N.Y.
Along with the list of the 10 best shopping centers to tap into high-powered teenage spending, there’s also a Bottom 10 group that includes Fenton Marketplace in San Diego, University Village in Seattle, and Park Lane Mall in Reno, Nev.—Nos. 8, 9 and 10 respectively.
Asterop designed the ranking by building an index that scores based on trade area, socio-demographics, volume and concentration.
