Tommy Hilfiger to Take Back Licenses
New York Collective Brands Inc. said Wednesday Tommy Hilfiger Group will bring its men's and women's footwear business in-house, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
Stride Rite, whose shoe brands include Saucony and Keds, said it will keep the license for Tommy Hilfiger Kids footwear through the end of 2009.
Stride Rite had been the exclusive licensee of the Tommy Hilfiger footwear brand in the United States for more than 10 years. Their current agreement was set to expire at the end of 2008.
Collective Brands said the decision would not hurt it financially in fiscal 2008.
