Tommy Bahama names SVP marketing

3/23/2011

SEATTLE -- Terry Pillow, CEO of the Tommy Bahama Group, has announced the appointment of Rob Goldberg as SVP marketing. Goldberg, who joined Tommy Bahama in 2010 as SVP restaurants, will continue to oversee the restaurant operations in addition to his new duties. Goldberg will continue to be based at the company's Seattle headquarters. The appointment is effective immediately.

"Since joining our company, Rob has proven to be a creative and effective leader with a natural talent for marketing," said Pillow. "His experience has given him great insight into the Tommy Bahama brand and we are confident he can take our marketing efforts to the next level."

According to a Tommy Bahama press statement, Goldberg is credited with building luxury brands that define themselves by quality and approachability rather than formality and exclusivity. His expertise in marketing the concept of "approachable luxury" and reinventing it to combine comfort and relaxation is the perfect fit for Tommy Bahama, a brand that was built upon those principles.

As SVP marketing, Goldberg will be responsible for all facets of marketing for every channel within the Tommy Bahama Group. This includes men's and women's wholesale, retail, ecommerce, licensing and restaurants.
