TNS strengthens payments team with new hire
Payments industry executive, Lisa Shipley, is joining Transaction Network Services (TNS) as head of global strategy for the company’s payments division.
In the newly created role, Shipley will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the division. Shipley, who will be based at the company’s headquarters in Reston, Va., will also work closely with TNS’ product, sales, development and operations teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions to ensure the consistent execution of the strategy worldwide.
Prior to joining TNS, Shipley was SVP of enterprise accounts at the First Data Corporation, where she managed the company’s Money Network business and its alternative payment provider customers.
Shipley has more than 25 years of experience. She joined First Data from Ingenico where she served as SVP of sales and marketing and, prior to that, she held the same position at Hypercom North America for 12 years. Shipley also spent 10 years with NationsBank where she was responsible for its terminal management business.
“We’re delighted to welcome Lisa to TNS,” said Mike Keegan, co-CEO at TNS. “Lisa joins us at an exciting time as our teams around the world move nimbly in response to market opportunities. Lisa will help us formulate a global strategy which we will use to promote synergies across the business, govern our investments and position us for growth. Lisa’s extensive industry experience made her the perfect candidate for the role. She has an in-depth knowledge of the payments industry, including a good appreciation of the competitive landscape, which will enable her to bring unique insights to our business.”
“I am excited to be joining TNS and taking on such an inspiring position within the Payments Division. Creating and executing a strategy, which will bring together the regional plans into a cohesive targeted global approach, is an important responsibility and I’m looking forward to getting started,” said Shipley.
TNS was one of the first companies to introduce managed payments technology more than 20 years ago. It now manages more than 15 billion payment transactions across the world each year. It provides services and support to customers in more than 60 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific region.
