TJX offers limited gift-giving advice
Just like many of the products sold in its stores, TJX Companies is offering a limited duration holiday helpline staffed by folks who presume to know the perfect gift for anonymous recipients.
T.J. Maxx and Marshalls this week said they are bringing back their “Holiday Gift Hotline” to combat the issue they identified in a survey of people buying uninventive gifts. The hotline is a free service only available for limited hours Dec. 4-7 and is designed to provide shoppers with a variety of gift ideas to help them give gifts people really want to receive.
To deliver on that objective, the retailers said they assmbled a team of nationally recognized experts across these five groups including parenting experts Audrey McClelland (MomGenerations) and Vera Sweeney (Lady and the Blog), teenage darling Meaghan Dowling, go-to style guy Yale Breslin, celebrity interior designer Courtney Cachet, workplace expert Adrian Granzella Larssen (The Muse) and style and gift expert Daisy Lewellyn. To help kick-off the hotline, Daphne Oz of ABC's hit talk show The Chew will be available to provide gift-seekers her take on gifting ideas for those who call from 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 4 or who tweet her @DaphneOz using #holidayhotline.
