There's a new (retail) box in town

8/27/2015

Retailers that stock the world’s top drugstore brands may be in for some competition from Pharmabox, which plans to install its first automated kiosk in a mall in the Miami area.

Pharmabox is an automated pharmacy that carries over 140 of the top selling brands and products typically found in a Target, Rite-Aid, CVS, or Walgreen's store, including cold and allergy medicines, stomach and digestive medicines, men's and women's personal health items, contraceptives, pediatric medicines, suntan lotions, vitamins, batteries, hair care, soaps, facial products, cleansers, moisturizers, and much more.

"We are pleased to be in such a prominent and prestigious location as The Falls," said Alejandro Rodriguez, Founder and CEO Pharmabox. "Now shoppers can pick up their personal items and OTC medicines while they are at this wonderful destination, and avoid having to make a separate trip to another store."

The Pharmabox takes the best of a major retail pharmacy, and places it into a unique, innovative, and fun-to-use self-service kiosk, that can be located virtually anywhere, and can be available 24-hours a day.Plans for Pharmabox locations include anywhere that people may need to pick up medicines, personal items, contraception, beauty products, or other items, quickly and easily, such as airports, train and bus stations, universities, business centers, malls, senior centers, and other areas where it is not possible or convenient to travel to a brick and mortar retail store.

Rodriguez acknowledges the strength of a partnership with Simon, which owns the Falls.

"As a business owner, I could not ask for a better location partner than Simon," he said. "We look forward to providing Simon shoppers with a unique and valuable service, along with a fun and interactive shopping experience, through our innovative and unique automated pharmacy kiosks."
