Tech Global Partners and Accuvia Consulting to merge

Tech Global Partners and Accuvia Consulting on Friday announced an agreement to merge their two businesses to create a world-class consulting firm based on the retail, foodservice and hospitality industries.

The combined company will operate under the name Tech Global Partners and be based in East Greenwich, R.I. Accuvia Consulting will operate as a division of Tech Global Partners focused on the foodservice and hospitality industries.

Accuvia Consulting, founded by Robert Grimes in 1994, assists foodservice and hospitality operators and suppliers select systems, set IT strategies, represent owners in IT efforts, identify trends and resolve complex technical integration and technology compliance strategies.

Tech Global Partners, founded in 2007 by Michael Hess, is comprised of senior-level executives experienced in retail strategy, operations and technology consulting. In 2009, it acquired Consumer Consulting, which specializes in the consumer and driving customer value for the retail and consumer products industries.

Grimes will join Tech Global Partners as executive VP and managing director of hospitality & foodservice industries. Hess will remain president and CEO of Tech Global Partners.
