11/16/2016

Order pick-up is getting easier at Target stores.

In a posting on its website, the retailer detailed several enhancements to make it quicker and faster for shoppers who order online and pick up in a store.

To make it easy to spot designated Target team members who can help with orders, Target associates in 325 stores nationwide have been outfitted with “Order Pickup” t-shirts, and offer order pickup reusable bags be used throughout the holiday season and beyond.

In addition, Target recently remodeled about 80 of its top-volume order pickup stores to offer an elevated in-store experience. Some stores now have an appointed 0rder pickup check-out area housed right within the guest services, exchanges and returns space. And in other stores, order pickup has a designated space all to itself, keeping order fulfillment completely separate from the other services.

More than 90% of order pickups will be ready in an hour (up from 85% last year), according to Target, due in part to enhancements to processes and technologies, such as RFID.
