Target Raises Hurricane Donations

Minneapolis, Target will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross for hurricane-recovery efforts, and distribute $400,000 in gift cards to schools in affected areas for school supplies.

The donation is on top of $1.5 million the retailer already donated to the Red Cross. Target also was the primary underwriter of the “Shelter From the Storm” fund-raising event which raised more than $30 million for the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
