Target offers $4 prescriptions on heels of Wal-Mart
MINNEAPOLIS Target announced new pricing plans for its prescription and over-the-counter drug offerings. In the announcement, the company said that these new plans were implemented in order to stay competitive with Wal-Mart, which reported expansion of its own generic drug program.
Target said its program includes an expanded assortment of $4 prescription drugs, 90-day supply of these medications for $10 and over-the-counter medications for $4 or less.
“We understand the economic challenges our guests are facing and remain committed, as always, to meeting their health and wellness needs at a great value,” said Kathee Tesija, evp of merchandising.
