Target, Jessica Seinfeld help families in need

9/20/2010

NEW YORK Target is teaming up with Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization founded in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, for a year-long partnership to help underprivileged families in need. Through the partnership, Target will offer an exclusive Baby Buggy line of baby essentials. The agreement also includes a $25,000 quarterly donation (totaling $300,000 for the year) from Target vendors Avent, The Boppy Company and Huggies.

"Partners like Target enable Baby Buggy to keep improving the lives of families and children who are truly in need," said Seinfeld. "Target shares our mission and our commitment to the communities we serve. We are proud to work with them and grateful for their support."

Over the course of the year-long partnership, Baby Buggy said it will team up with renowned designers to create new, signature baby items. Ten percent of the purchase price from the Target Baby Buggy collection will go to support Baby Buggy's efforts.

According to a press release, the donations will help Baby Buggy serve partner sites in seven cities including New York, Washington, Chicago, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Dallas.
