9/4/2012

MINNEAPOLIS — Target has donated $150,000 in cash and products to assist with Hurricane Isaac relief efforts. A $120,000 cash donation was given to the American Red Cross in support of response efforts. An additional $20,000 in product donations and $10,000 in Target gift cards will be given to other nonprofit organizations in affected areas for essentials such as water and food.

“Target is proud to be a resource for the community, and we’re committed to aiding those affected by Hurricane Isaac in this time of need,” said Gregg Steinhafel, chairman, president and CEO, Target. “Our team supports local recovery responses by volunteering and donating product and funds, in addition to making sure our stores closest to the disaster area are able to offer needed supplies.”

All Target stores in impacted areas are open, and Target has allocated additional products, such as non-perishable food, batteries and flashlights, to those locations to ensure residents have access to the supplies they need.
