Target Canada unveils exclusives, partnerships ahead of opening

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Target has revealed its exclusive partnerships, own brands and limited collections that Canadian consumers can look forward to experiencing once the retailer opens its first stores in the country this spring.



"We are excited to announce a selection of brands that will be available in our Canadian stores in 2013," said Target Canada SVP merchandising, John Morioka. "Target is known for its innovative designer partnerships and assortment of exceptional products that deliver on our Expect More. Pay Less. brand promise and we look forward to bringing a number of our more prominent brands to bring the true Target experience to Canadian stores."


Embracing the Canadian culture, Target Canada will offer an exclusive, limited time only collaboration with Roots, a popular Canadian-based clothing retailer. The Roots Outfitters collection for Target includes fashion for women, men, boys, girls and toddlers, and will be available from March to June 2013.


Other collections coming to the Canadian stores include:




  • Nate Berkus Collection - An exclusive assortment of bedding, bath and design elements from acclaimed interior design expert, Nate Berkus.




  • Sonia Kashuk Collection - High-quality cosmetics from makeup artist Sonia Kashuk.




  • Giada De Laurentiis for Target - An exclusive line of affordable cookware products from the popular TV chef




  • Shaun White - A full range of apparel including denim, shorts, woven tops, hooded sweatshirts and graphic tees from the snowboarder.




In addition, Canadian customers will find Target's own brands including Archer Farms, up & up and C9 by Champion.
