Target aims for a baby boom

1/8/2015

Target is stepping up its efforts to attract new parents to its stores with a new partnership, educational classes and a social media campaign.

Bump Club and Beyond, the nation's largest social event network for new moms, is partnering with Target to present a national series of events designed to help expectant and new parents learn the "basics" of bringing up baby.

"We're thrilled to be partnering with Target on this opportunity to connect more parents and parents-to-be around the country with our experts, resources, information and most important -- with each other," says Lindsay Pinchuk, founder of Bump Club and Beyond.

BCBasics for Target will consist of a series of educational events on topics that parents need to know about most. The BCBasics for Target Series will take place monthly in Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Austin, continuing through March with a different educational topic each month. Upcoming topics include:

  • January: Registry

  • February: Babywearing

  • March: Nutrition

All events are free to the public but registration is required. One event attendee will win a $3,000 dream baby registry. Anyone who attends a BCBasics event and sets up a baby registry at Target will be entered to win. Each time they attend, guests earn an entry. In addition, two separate $1,000 prizes toward a Target registry will be given away on Facebook.
